chtype - change Macintosh file type

SYNOPSIS
chtype type file ...

DESCRIPTION
Chtype changes the Macintosh type field of the files to type. Type
is stored as a four byte string in the Macintosh file system. If
more or less than four bytes are supplied, type is right justified
and truncated/padded to four bytes.

The user invoking chtype must have write permission to the file, or
be the superuser.
